Every true Christian believer is a soldier for God and is in a great spiritual war, a battle between good and evil, a battle between God and His people and satan and his followers. You can read about this spiritual battle in God’s word, The Holy Bible. The war is spoken of in several Biblical books including Ephesians, 1 Peter and Revelation.
The pages in this section of Testimonies, Tips, and Tidbits include true stories of some of the challenges I encountered in my classes and in life in general. These were classified “Spiritual Challenges” because I believe they have their root in the fall of mankind, the human condition, sin, and this great battle between those in God’s army and those who follow Satan.
As you read through the challenges classified as “Spiritual Challenges” please remember that God is all-powerful, all-knowing, and everywhere present. Human beings cannot begin to fathom God’s love for them. Nor can they understand all of God’s ways. He is so much greater and wiser that we can’t even comprehend His character.
Many of God’s plans are a complete mystery to us. We know about the beginning because it’s told to us in the Bible, as is the end of time. But the step-by-step working of God we cannot know or thwort (and why would we want to?). Scripture tells us that “all things work for the good of those who love God and are called according to His purpose.” So forge ahead at the stories under this heading of “Spiritual Challenges.” See if you agree that they are challenges that have their root in sin, the human condition, and the great Spiritual war.
