God Meets The Challenges!

As we look at Bible prophesy regarding the future of this world, we can only conclude that the world is going to continue to grow increasingly evil. Scripture tells us, “But mark this there will be terrible times in the last days. People will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, boastful, proud, abusive, disobedient to their parents, ungrateful, unholy, without love, unforgiving, slanderous, without self-control, brutal, not lovers of good, treacherous, rash, conceited, lovers of pleasures rather than lovers of God–having a form of godliness but denying its power… (2 Tim. 3:1-5) Increasing evil or spiritual darkness can only mean that the challenges Christians face will become increasingly difficult.

Thankfully, Jesus already won the great spiritual battle when He died on the cross at Calvary, was buried, and rose again on the third day. Jesus paid the price for the sins of all mankind and made a way for us to be overcomers. He offers the free gift of eternal life to all who will reach out and receive it.

As Christians, who have accepted God’s offer of salvation, we need to continue our daily walk with Him through prayer, reading God’s word, and obeying His commands. We need to give our problems to Him through prayer, stand firm in God’s strength and power, and watch and wait to see the deliverance of the Lord. Psalm 34:17 tells us, “The righteous cry out, and the Lord hears them; He delivers them from all their troubles.”

Only God’s power can answer the challenges we face daily as we try to live out our lives and impart God’s message to a large group of people who have chosen a life of sin. Some people have rebelled against God, denied His existence, tried to erase Him off the face of the earth (an impossibility), and followed every other path to try to fill the void in their lives that only God can fill. Unfortunately many of these people don’t truly understand the magnitude of their decision. What a sad day it will be when they have to stand before God and answer for their lives.

God’s power is divine and He can do the impossible. He can still penetrate these hardened hearts and transform the hearts and lives of these people. However, God will not do it if they decide not to accept His free gift of salvation. God will not go against our choice. Nothing is impossible with God. He can and will answer our prayers and fight battles on our behalf. We only have to ask Him.

God has chosen us to be His Ambassadors and take His message across the globe. At times He works through us to help meet the challenges. God gives us spiritual gifts and His power works through us to accomplish His work. He wants to use us to touch the lives of people and glorify His name. He wants to work through us to build up, train, and equip the saints for works of service. He doesn’t want us sitting on the sidelines like a spectator at a game while multitudes of people step closer to hell with each passing day. God works through us in miraculous ways, if we are truly His child and we are willing.

As I experienced each of these challenges on my journey through life, God has always been faithful to guide, guard and love me. He always kept the children and helpers safe, regardless of my errors and/or ignorance. Now He continues to lovingly reassure me as my husband and I endure some of the hardest trials we’ve ever faced. As each new challenge comes along God is there, helping us overcome it. He will do the same for all of His children because He is faithful.
